Lightweight Rod Systems
The TL460I lightweight rod systems in stainless steel Aisi316 are used for bracing and support all types of structures made of steel, wood and glass. Their great finished and resistance to external agents make them the perfect choice for medium and small load requirements.
The TL460I lightweight rod systems are designed considering the requirements of mandatory regulations, both nationally and internationally.
These systems uses standardized terminals, also having a technical office for the design and manufacture of special custom-made terminals or union/connection pieces according to the requirements of each project.
Each manufacture is controlled through a rigorous quality system guaranteed by 2.1 quality certificates and subjected to specific tests if it is requested.
Design and Calculate breaking load:
- Define tensile workload.
Calculate breaking load based on the safety factor (δf). - Select the bar metric taking into account the calculated breaking load and the required elastic limit.
- Choose tie rod ends according to the type of anchorage.
Measurement:
The ‘‘L’’ measurement is taken from the center to the center of the pin/hole of the terminals.
Turnbuckles:
As a general rule, the use of semi-open tensioners is recommended.
