Naval Engineering and Rigging Restoration for the Tall Ship Cuauhtémoc
Participating in the restoration of the Buque Escuela Cuauhtémoc, the ambassador of the Mexican Navy, following its incident at the Brooklyn Bridge (New York), has been one of our most significant challenges in naval engineering. At Cables Estructurales, we proved that our technical capacity goes far beyond being a wire rope supplier.
Bespoke Technical Solutions Developed:
- Integral Design & Manufacturing: We were responsible for the ground-up creation of all stainless steel turnbuckles, ensuring superior strength and high-end finishing.
- High-Performance Deadeyes: Full production of custom-designed deadeyes, restoring the functionality and splendor of the vessel’s original rigging.
- Naval Certification: Every component was manufactured under the industry’s most demanding standards, adapted to the critical needs of large-scale sailing.
More than Cables: In-house Manufacturing This project highlights our ability to act as a Technical Office and specialized nautical component factory. We possess the expertise to design high-end terminals, turnbuckles, and fittings that solve complex problems in large-scale naval infrastructure.
