The general use of Cable Slings is as a link between a load that must be hoisted or pulled and the machine that performs the work.
Depending on the type of load with which you are going to work, the slings can be single-leg (direct pull), octopus-type (2,3, or 4-leg) or endless.
The selection of the diameter of the sling cable is made based on the way in which it is worked and the maximum working load that the set will support. Depending on the type of cable selected, the Maximum Utilization Load ranges are as follows:
Cable slings 6×19 and 6×36 with textile core: 0,70 – 81,00 t (C.M.U. ó W.L.L.)
Cable slings 6×19 and 6×36 with metal core: 0,75 – 85,00 t (C.M.U. ó W.L.L.)
According to standard: EN 13414-1: 2003, resistance 1770 N/mm2, security coefficient Sf 5:1

In special applications, slings with resinated open / closed terminals can be manufactured (open/closed shelter sockets w/Wirelock), wedges, fork or eyelet crimped terminals … Crosby brand (G-416, G-417, S-421T, S-551, S-502,…) or similar.
The Chain Slings are sets consisting of a chain (1 branch) or several chains (multiramales) arranged with the appropriate accessories both for the joint (ring, Hammerlock chain joint, …) and at the ends (ring, safety hook , eyelet hook, rotating hook …), in accordance with the requirements of the UNE-EN 818-1 standard, designed for lifting loads in total safety.
The working range of the slings is 0,50 to 132,00 t (C.M.U. ó W.L.L.)
In the case of needing several branches, the angle formed between the vertical and the branches of the grab defines the Maximum Use or Working Load.
The quality of the chain used can be grade 80 or grade 100, with the grade 100 chain having 25% more lifting capacity and 30% less weight compared to grade 80.
